GORGEOUS CANADA DAY WEDDING INSPIRATION

Gorgeous Canada Day Wedding Inspiration

Written by Christina Rowan

In honour of Canada’s 150th anniversary, Asian Fusion Weddings designed this insanely gorgeous Canada Day wedding inspiration shoot stocked with everything that makes our country great. Along with praising the red and white, the creative thoroughly pays homage to the lumber-rich west coast, canoe-ridden prairie provinces and poutine-eating east coast. A few notable elements include: locally grown tulips, anemones, ranunculus, spray roses, cherry blossoms and carnations from Periwinkle for the floral arrangements; pop-up canoe menus and stationery designed by Ferris Wheel Press; Canadian designer Mikaella Bridals glorious gowns; a colourful sweet table concocted by Shirley’s Sweet Creations filled with cupcakes, pies and cookies sporting maple leaves and the infamous Canadian catch phrase “eh”; as well as a storm cooked up by Hawley Crescent with B.C. salmon, Quebecois poutine and Molson Canadian beer to boot. If this style shoot doesn’t get you in the #Canada150, #WeTheNorth, #TrueNorthStrongAndFree spirit, we don’t know what will! Here’s what Wendy of Asian Fusion Weddings had to say about what makes Canada such a wonderful, welcoming place:

“Besides its natural resources, I believe Canada’s most precious resources are its people. Being diverse means that there’s a broad base of viewpoints to draw upon. Being open to creating dialogue ultimately means the potential to formulate new ideas and enhancing existing ones. This shoot is just one example of how diverse backgrounds can create something phenomenal when we work as an united team.” Wendy, Asian Fusion Weddings

Happy 150,  Canada! I am proud to call Canada home the last 27 years – a country where I was raised, educated and allowed to explore my paths in life.   This year is especially significant as it is Canada’s 150th birthday.   I am thrilled to have taken part in a Canadiana Styled Wedding Shoot directed by Asian Fusion Weddings along with a fantastic team of Canadian talents to showcase how it is like to celebrate nuptial the “Eh” way.   Here is a little sneak peek of the behind-the-scene moments captured by John at Summerfield Films.  Can’t wait to share more of this creative shoot  photographed by Rhythm Photography with you all in the next couple of days.  Stay tuned!
